Create cover letter based off my resume

Overview

Find a job or internship posting that you're CURRENTLY qualified for (needs to be in criminal justice)  - something you could reasonably interview for at this point in your career/academics. It doesn't need to be located where you live, but you need to meet the stated qualifications.

Create a Cover Letter for that particular job/internship. Be sure to tailor both your resume and your cover letter for that particular job, considering which of your past experiences, course work, volunteer actions, etc. show your interest and qualifications for the position. Consider the following elements of each:

Cover Letter: 3-4 paragraphs

  • Follows business cover letter format including addresses, salutation and closing
  • Lists position in first sentence
  • Shows "fit" with position and interest in the company or organization
  • Last paragraph contains request for interview and contact information
  • Demonstrates professional grammar and mechanics

Resume:  ( you can edit my resume if needed)

  • Tailored for chosen position
  • Easy "skim-able" format (you may use any effective design format)
  • Professional grammar and mechanics
  • Lists accomplishments, not just duties
  • Creative use of coursework, volunteer, and student organization to demonstrate qualifications and leadership
