Overview
*Remember you may choose between presenting a demonstration speech or a tribute speech, you are NOT required to present both.
The purpose of Demonstration Speaking is to demonstrate how to do something for your audience. As the speaker you are working to demonstrate, inform, and entertain your audience. Choose a topic that interests you, you are knowable about or that you find interesting. Remember you need ethos as a speaker, so it is important to choose a topic that you know a lot about your topic and are capable of teaching others. If you are going to teach and demonstrate something to your audience, you first need to be an expert in your topic, so choose your topic wisely.
