Read about Max Weber's analysis of class and the development of socioeconomic status (SES) as a three dimensional concept (pp. 194-196). Write about the impact that class plays in a person's life. Demonstrate some critical thinking by responding to the question, "Should employment be based on meritocracy, need, or affirmative-action-type policies designed to bring about greater diversity?" Also, respond to the question, "What might happen in the United States if the gap between rich and poor continues to widen?"
