Overview
In Descartes Meditations he asks us to consider dreams that feel real-call them really real dreams. Then he goes on to pose a puzzling question. Is there any way to be certain that right now we are not in a really real dream. So in this discussion we will talk about the following question:
How can we be certain that we are not dreaming right now?

There really is no way to be certain that we are not dreaming right now. I have heard of stories online where people in a coma experience vivid lives while unconscious. Falling in love, having kids, experiencing emotions, are all aspects of this life that turns out to all be a dream. In this dream, time is completely warped from real time, feeling extremely stretched out. It is possible that the lives we are living right now could all be an illusion, however I believe that regardless, it is important to cherish the relationships and bonds formed, emotions felt, and all the beautiful aspects of "life".
