Overview
Reach & explore: 1) Explain your typical backstage performance. Provide rich detail and cite both Renner (2019) and Cole (2019).
2) Expand on your worst front stage performance to date. What about it from Renner and Cole (2019) made it so bad?
3) Renner (2019) states the following in context to how we present ourselves online considering workforces look at these online media profiles: “..the implication is that the ability to detach from one’s past self—to move laterally, as an individual, into a new body or personality – is a democratic ideal. We also have the right to stay as we are. In some cases, retaining our sense of self across chasms that might destroy it is more important than having a rebellious phase.”

Reflection: Weekly Reading (a): Read Ch4;
Weekly Chapter Reflection (b): You will write a 1-2 page comprehensive paper including the main points of the article in addition to your reflection based on real life experiences; The paper must be double-spaced, 12-point font, Times New Roman with one-inch margins.
Weekly Chapter Q/A (c): In addition, please prepare one discussion question and answer regarding the concept dealt within that week’s chapter. It is kind of like a "Review Session" for each chapter we are studying. For this activity, you are expected to come up with ANY ONE DISCUSSION (Short-Answer) QUESTIONS as long as you think the concept is important and provide your answer for that question. Please make your questions a good (and interesting) question by bringing in a real-life example (from your work experience, or another service setting or Youtube video) by applying the knowledge we have learnt for that chapter.
D-06 - Discussion of McDonald Video - Small Group Discussion 1
[Image unavailable: directions.png]DIRECTIONS
For D-06, it is necessary to first watch the video by Kelly McDonald. While the video parallels the book, it presents additional information and in an interesting way. While I wanted to balance your reading of theory with one viewpoint of practical advice, we have not directly addressed that content much so far.
I have created threads to this forum for you to reply to, thus keeping all comments on a topic/question together. Please respond to each question, trying to avoid redundancy and especially adding something to the conversation from your personal perspective and experience.
The first thread appears directly below. After you respond to that first thread you will see responses of other students AND additional threads. The treads are numbered to help you know the sequences and be sure you respond to each of them.
When you have completed all 4 threads, select a response from another student that was something you had not considered or thought of in that way. Explain (around 25-50 words) what insights the other student's post provided.
