Practice listening for understanding (active listening) in one or more conversations with work colleagues or friends before making your primary post. Use your new understanding of active listening from chapter 4 of our text. Then post a summary of your experience. Consider these questions:
- Did your communication partner notice the change?
- Did your partners communication change in response?
- Was there any effect on the content of the conversation?
- How did it feel?
- What did you learn about yourself?
