Overview
One of the most critical aspects of an online course is the interaction with one another in a learning community. In this scenario, Mr. and Mrs. Santiago are having some trouble with their son, Miguel. Miguel has been having frequent, violent tantrums. Apparently, their friends and family have been telling them that it is just a phase he is going through, and he will grow out of it. However, instead of that happening, the tantrums are becoming more frequent, and lasting longer and longer. Miguel's parents are afraid he is going to hurt someone, or himself. The BCaBA has applied interventions to try to lessen the frequency and duration of the tantrums.

- CLASSMATE # 1------What is your interpretation of the effectiveness of the intervention thus far, based on the graph?Based on the information provided in the graph about Miguel's intervention, the treatment phase has reduced the frequency of his tantrums but has not had an impact on the duration of the tantrums. There is a very evident decrease in the frequency of Miguel's tantrum when you view the data. When you look at the data for the duration that the tantrums last, the same cannot be said. At the beginning of the treatment phase the duration of the tantrums decreases but it begins to return to the same levels as the baseline phase.
- CLASSMATE #2-----------Based on the information given from the graph, the frequency of Miguel's tantrums have decreased following treatment. During baseline, Miguel was having more freguent tantrums. Once treatment started, Miguel's frequency of the tantrums have decreased. Although the frequency of his tantrums have decreased, the duration of his tantrums have stayed about the same.
- CLASSMATE#3 -----------When evaluating Miguel’s graph, based on the information given the frequency of Miguel’s tantrum behavior decreased due to the intervention. On the other hand, when evaluating the duration of Miguel’s tantrum behavior based on the information on the graph the behavior decreases in the first couple of months but then it bursts and increases. This could be because of an environmental change the client was experiencing.
