Overview
All students need to complete this assignment, which is designed to help you all start to get familiar with legal terminology and to help you better be able to visualize courtrooms and the court processes we'll be learning about. As I'm sure you're all aware, most of these shows are not necessarily accurate depictions of our court/legal system, but depending on which you choose to watch, it'll at least help you start hearing the terminology we'll be using throughout the semester!
All discussion answers this semester are worth 10 points each. You'll be given 7 points for the depth and thoroughness of your response. And 3 for punctuation, spelling, grammar and overall writing.

Select at least one of the T.V. shows or movies from the Recommended Viewing List you were given last week, containing law-related shows and movies. Pick at least one movie or show and watch it (if you selected a show, you will need to watch at least 3 episodes). My personal favorite from the list is the movie My Cousin Vinny. For those who have time to binge-watch an entertaining docu-series, I also really recommend The People v. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story).
Write a 2 paragraph discussion response, with at least 3-5 sentences in each paragraph. In the first paragraph, discuss whether or not you liked the film or episodes and why. In the second paragraph, tell me about a legal concept or term that was shown in the movie or episode that was new to you and what you learned about it through your viewing.
Answers should be typed directly into the discussion text box. You do not need to respond to anyone else's post for this assignment.
