Trender App is a mobile app that helps users keep up with the latest trends in fashion, fitness, entertainment, tech, and lifestyle. It gathers real-time data from social media and news to show what's popular right now.
High Level Vision
Trender App aims to be the go-to app for people who love staying updated with trends. It will display trending activities and items, and offer personalized recommendations based on what users like. The app will be easy to use, allowing users to explore, share, and engage with trending content.
Rationale
Keeping up with trends can be tough because there's so much information everywhere. Trender App makes it easier by curating and personalizing trending content, so users always know what's in. This helps users make trendy choices in their social life, shopping, and hobbies.
Stakeholders
The main stakeholders are users who want to stay updated, and content creators like influencers and bloggers.
Starting Assumptions and Constraints
Users are assumed to have smartphones and internet access, there will always be new trending data, and users are interested in various trends. Constraints include ensuring data privacy, some people being more traditional and wanting to keep up with trends.
Background
The idea for the Trender App came from noticing that people struggle to keep up with trends because information is scattered across many platforms and many people do not have enough time to sort it out properly. Trender App aims to bring all this information into one convenient app.
Problem Characterization
Users find it hard to stay updated with trends because the information is spread out, there are no personalized recommendations, and it takes time to search for trends. We live in a busy world where a lot of times it is important to get as much information as needed in a really short. period of time
Claims Analysis
Trender App will save users time by putting all trend information in one place. Reliable trends will help users make informed decisions.
Activity Scenario
Imagine Stefan, a 33-year-old business professional who loves fashion and tech trends. He is working from 9-5 pm every day besides Sunday when he visits his family in Maryland. Stefan does not usually have free time since he loves to volunteer in a pet shelter after work and go with his friends to happy hour. While commuting to work, he opens the Trender App to check the latest trends. He sees a personalized feed of trending items and activities. He finds an article about a new fashion trend and saves it, notices a trending fitness activity and signs up for a class, and shares a trending tech gadget post with his friends. Trender makes his life easier and makes his life free of fomo.
Information Scenario
TrendApp needs user information like Stefan’s interests in fashion, tech, and fitness; real-time trend data from multiple sources; and personalization data based on user preferences and behavior. The app will collect and analyze through initial test his data to identify trends and personalize his feed.
