Overview
Within this activity, we intend to explain what the elements that define the agenda-setting theory and how they manifest themselves, as well as compare said theory with the theories of effects studied in Module 3. It represents the opportunity to delve into the content and demonstrate mastery of module subtopics.
- Write an essay on agenda-setting theory. To do this, keep in mind and comply with the following:
- Use as guiding questions, among others that you generate yourself, the following:
- What are the elements that define the agenda setting theory, and how are they manifested?
- What are the similarities (at least two) and the differences (at least two) between agenda-setting and the effects theories studied in Module 3?
- To what extent does the implementation of the agenda setting by the media affect the public receiving their messages?
- Any other question or aspect that you think should be taken into account.
- Remember that the basic or essential parts of an essay are: Introduction, Development and Conclusions. As part of the development of your essay, you must present examples related to the media of Puerto Rico.
