Questions to answer in your paper regarding your chosen concept area:
- From the first section of this class, what concept area (see above choices) has had the greatest impact on you in improving your communication skills? A concept area is a whole concept with all parts and subparts. This should be One sentence stating your choice and then about one sentence where you offer the precise (from book/lecture) definition of that concept. Save any other definitions for the second question.
- In a complete paragraph, define all parts of the concept area (precise definitions from book/lecture). Length will depend on the concept area you choose. In the bullet section you are given information on what you need to define in your chosen concept area. Use that information here to complete this portion.
- Which relationship(s) has benefitted from you applying what you have learned from this concept area? (1-4 sentences)
- Offer a specific example of how this concept area has improved your communication and thus your relationship. This should be a specific incident, not a general statement. You don’t have to include all aspects of the concept area, but you should exemplify several areas covered in question 2. Give the incident/example, relay the concept that you are applying, and connect the example to the concept clearly. (5-10 sentences)
- Offer analysis on how you plan to continue to grow and improve in this area and how you see this continued growth positively impacting your relationships. (4-8 sentences)
