PR Case Study Analysis

Overview

PR Case Study Analyses

Beginning January 21, we will begin review of the PR case analysis assignment (see course schedule). Using the book, Cases in Public Relations Management (Swann), you will select one case from one of the assigned topics each week for the discussion and do the following: • Write a brief summary of the case: o Determine the situation and problem, need for PR activities, what the organization did, and what the outcomes were, etc. • Analyze and critique the case: o Determine whether the organization’s actions were effective or problematic or somewhere in-between with clear explanation as to why. You may compare the case to other cases or apply theories and best practices discussed to do your analysis. • Draw your own conclusions: o Determine whether this case is a good benchmark for developing an excellent campaign or what ought to be adjusted to make it so. *Analysis should be roughly one page, or about 500 – 700 words. Due dates are included in the course schedule on the syllabus and the overview on Canvas.
