Overview
Please Complete these 4 assignment.
1. (Professional Cover Letter) use online job boards to find at least three jobs to which you would consider applying. And write an appropriate cover letter for each of 3 jobs
2. Create a Personal Statement ( 1 to 2 pages) in information system
3. Artifacts are the centerpiece of the portfolio and should showcase key projects, assignments, and experiences. The first section: (Professional Projects) includes descriptions of any projects you have worked on that are related to your major. These may be from your full-time or part-time jobs, internships, volunteer opportunities, hobbies, or personal fulfillment projects. These may be projects you worked on but weren’t in charge of – be sure to relate your role in the project if this is the case. Try to find actual reports or other original documents that describe the projects. Alternatively, you may need to prepare summaries yourself. You may need to dig deep to find these and relate them to future job opportunities in your field. Use AI to help you but be sure everything is accurate and factual. Here are some examples that may spur your memories:
. IS Examples: System development project (e.g., an application or database design), data analysis report using tools like Tableau or Power BI, cybersecurity plan or technical documentation.
EHSM Examples: Safety audit or compliance assessment, risk assessment or hazard analysis, emergency response plan or sustainability initiative.
The second section, Work, relates directly to your school assignments/projects. Collect some of the assignments you’ve done in your major courses that demonstrate your knowledge, skills, and abilities. You may need to annotate these examples of high-quality academic assignments so that it is clear to anyone looking at your portfolio how these represent experience they are looking for in a new hire. Before each of these artifacts, include a brief summary of the purpose, relevance, and outcomes of the assignment. Again, use AI to help with this if you need to. (Be sure to avoid uploading any personal information to the AI.) ( Build Fake one )
Turn in a 1-page summary of the professional projects and a 1-page summary of academic assignments you will include in your portfolio.
