TOPIC- Encouraging the Adoption of Remote Work as the Future of the Workforce
Objective: Change the opinion of an audience
Overview: Skilled media writers can persuade an audience by changing their worldview or convincing them to take action (i.e. purchasing a product, attending an event, favoring a public policy, etc.). Your task is to choose a topic and persuade an audience to meet an objective. Put yourself in the shoes of a marketer and convince someone else to do something or adopt your perspective. The parameters of this assignment is purposely vague/open to give you creative freedom, so feel free to make this assignment topic yours.
Requirements:
- Paper must meet a minimum of 850 words.
- Include at least three credible sources to back up the claims you make.
- Refer to the assignment format guide page to meet the criteria for this paper.
ASSIGNMENT FORMAT GUIDE
We will use the American Psychological Association (APA) style for our written assignments in COMM 1130. This page serves as a reference to format your papers in the correct style.
Basic Format:
- Times New Roman, twelve point font
- Double spaced
- One inch margins on all sides
- Page number on the top right header, excluded on the first page
- In Word, click Insert > Header and Footer > Page Number
- Note: Make sure the page number font/size match the rest of the paper.
- References are required for most of our assignments in this class.
- On the first page, include your name, date of the assignment deadline, and class/section number (COMM 1130-004) on the upper left corner. I do not require title pages for our assignments in this class.
