This is my topic (written in a discussion post) - I'm thinking about writing my paper on the #BlackLivesMatter movement, looking at its importance, effects, and difficulties. Because the movement has played a significant role in bringing attention to systematic racial injustice, police brutality, and the larger issues faced by the Black community, this topic holds great personal significance for me as an African American. My main area of interest will be how social media has transformed activism by elevating Black voices, igniting demonstrations, and impacting public opinion and legislative reforms. Social media sites like Instagram, TikTok, and Twitter have been essential for raising awareness, planning grassroots movements, and holding establishments responsible. Digital activism has been an effective tool, but it has drawbacks as well. Problems such as false information and etc.
