One of your members is an 'orange' (Energetic, spontaneous, and adventurous) and has been showing a decline in performance. They were very eager and active in the community and with their enforcement efforts. Lately, they have been doing the minimal amount of work, only responding to calls for service and not taking a proactive approach. They are very charismatic and the community adores the officer. They do well at community events and has a great deal of knowledge on their district where they patrol. The officer has built good, solid relationships with the community. How do you approach this employee to motivate them, find out why their behavior has changed, and what plan will you use to get them back on track?
