What has Roots shown you about American society in the 1820s and 1830s? What is the relationship between wealthy whites, freedmen, immigrants and slaves? What were your thoughts on Roots? What do you think of the ending (of the Chicken George set)? What events are going on in the background of the story? Write a reflection to the documentary and to the two readings.
