Synthesize MTSS and PBIS In a Parent Newsletter

school counselors can efficiently communicate Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) and Positive Behavior Intervention and Supports (PBIS) updates to parents and students through electronic newsletters, handouts, and brochures. The ASCA standards promote counselor communication, family engagement, and community partnerships. Additionally, counselor communication can contribute to student awareness and engagement. Lastly, establishing positive relationships with households can lead to academic achievement, higher attendance rates, and social emotional development.
