Note, this Assignment is different than your usual discussion board posts. I think you'll really have a lot of fun with it! :) You also have approximately TWO weeks (you won't need that much time, but I'm just trying to take some stress off the beginning of the semester. Note the "due" date for your initial post and the assignment will still remain "open" for a few more days so you can comment on your peers' presentations.

Presenter:

For this Assignment, you will be creating and sharing a digital "presentation" with your classmates. Your job is to share who you are (your self-concept) by illustrating your past, present, and future through visual and textual means (photos, drawings, art, clip art, etc., PLUS text added to clarify each stage).

Context: If we were in a face to face class, I would ask you to prepare a short 3-5 minute presentation to introduce yourself to the class. I would have asked you to bring in a poster board showing your past, present, and future, or three objects from your life that help to illustrate that. So this assignment, kind of "mirrors" that idea. We're getting to you know, getting to know all about you... (I think there's a song from "The King and I" musical that goes like that...Ha!) To complete your assignment, you will submit a slide show of your presentation. You must UPLOAD the slide show. Do NOT simply insert a link. In your slide show, please note the following:

1. A minimum of three visual aids are required (photos, drawings, clip art, etc.), for EACH phase represented (past, present, future) for a total of 9 photos, drawings, etc.
2. Please add appropriate text or descriptions to your presentation for EACH phase (minimum 50 word for each stage). All files must be accessible for all students. PowerPoint, a Word document, or a PDF all work well. If you want to keep it really "simple" you can also just copy and paste your content (text and photos) directly into the discussion board (no attachment). Either way is all good! :)

This assignment is highly creative, so enjoy!
