Hi pleas I need helping for my homework

Media Hype Assignment

Assignment Directions:

Read: “Worry About the Right Things” and “The Media Likes Scaring Us” by John Stossel.

Record and submit: Students are to record a 1-3 minute video and answer each of the following questions regarding “Worry About the Right Things”, “The Media Likes Scaring Us”, and the Media Hype 20/20 YouTube videos.

I’d like to know your opinion regarding the two articles you read and YouTube videos you watched.

Please include your responses to these questions in your video.

1. What did you watch or read that was surprising or interesting to you?

2. Discuss something you remember being “hyped” on TV or in the newspaper.

3. Describe a time when you or your family members were affected by media hype.

4. How has something hyped in the media affected the way you thought or behaved?

5. Do you have any fears that may have been enhanced by something you saw, heard, or read via some form of media? Do not say "nothing".

6. Discuss in detail some of the situations the author discussed and your reaction to it.

  • Discuss at least one situation from each article.

Presentation Requirements:

  • You may not edit the speech.
  • Make sure I can hear you. If your volume or voice projection prohibits me from hearing what you are saying, I can't grade it.
  • Remove all visual and noise distractions in the background including turning off a celling fan if it is in the video.
  • Do not read your answers directly off the screen word for word.
  • Incorporate speaking energy and a friendly demeanor to your audience.
  • Dress appropriately. No PJ's, hats, hoodies or low cut attire. Present yourself professionally to be taken seriously.

Please keep the time limit. I stop watching at 3 minutes and grade the answers you have shared in the time frame.

Recording Your Presentation:

  • Upload the entire speech to the YouTube account you create.
  • Make sure you allow sharing and viewing of your link on You Tube.
  • There is an option to keep your account private and just allow only the people you share the link with to view your account. Choose that option if you like.

If your computer has a camera you can use Canvas Studio to record and submit your reaction video. If not, you can chose to create a YouTube account and upload your recording from a cell phone or other device to your account. You can make your account private and submit a clickable working link. If I can't click on the link and it takes me to your video, I'm not grading it. I'm not copying and pasting it either. Make sure you give me access to view it in your YouTube account.

Please watch this video if you do not know how to record and upload your speech to Canvas Studio.
