Overview
On Thursday a briefing paper (3-4 pages, double-spaced plus a references page) is due as the midterm. You are going to do a paper on the company that you did the short presention on. Imagine you are reporting to company colleagues about recent business activities and future strategies. It is a short assignment, and meant to analyze your company. Do you own a library? What are sources of revenue? What are risks? Is there room for a sale or acquisition? What are some hurdles? What does the future look like? What are TWO mistakes made and how would you fix them?
So for your paper that I'm going to read, go in-depth, more into the company. And I really, I'll repeat this later, but I really want you to get into a focus on what the business model is, how they do it, a little bit about history, and then also, in that paper, find two mistakes they made and what they should have done to fix them. And the one I always pick on is Warner Bros. Taking all their movies during COVID and putting them on the stream, or how. That's an example of something that they've tried to follow the business model.
