- Select an appropriate theory/approach as the basis for your work with a student and explain the rationale behind your choice
- Correctly identify counseling strategies related to the selected theory/approach
- Demonstrate an understanding of each step of the counseling process through session notes
- Demonstrate strategic effort in helping students to make progress towards goals
- Accurately measure student progress towards chosen goals and set new goals based on that progress
