As this week's focus is on healthcare spending and its impact on the medical system, let’s compare and contrast publications about healthcare spending in the US! Using the following sources, write a 6-7 page APA-formatted essay comparing and contrasting perspectives using the AMA’s healthcare spending page and one well-suited RAND publication of your choosing. Although you will be comparing and contrasting two sources, you should also build a response to the following questions:
- What really drives health care spending in the US?
- Did the drivers, which I identified, agree or clash with what I hear from mass media? Why or why not?

Review the various indicators involving spending, doctors, nurses, and graduates to begin understanding how various healthcare systems rate. Also, skim their publication Health at a Glance located immediately above the visualizations. You may obtain a no-cost PDF copy of the report.
Given the contents of the report and visualizations, describe how the OECD measures comparative performances of countries (and their medical systems). Offer your thoughts on which dimensions of measurement correctly measure performance. Be sure to justify your response!
