Please listen to the podcast "Europe's Trade Policy and Open Strategic Autonomy", so you can get some background on the topic.
Please discuss:
1. Please briefly describe the European Union approach to foreign/trade policy.
2. In your view, what are the issues with that approach to trade policy? Please provide some examples.
3. What will you recommend EU trade policy makers so the European Union can compete with the United States and China?

In this assignment you will reflect on the consequences of trade openness in the labor force of a particular industry.
Please watch the following short video that I hope will help you to start your thinking process.
Please select an industry (automotive, clothing, agriculture, etc ..), and a country, and research on how trade has affected that industry and its workers. Please also provide information about trade policy decisions affecting that industry. Please provide some recommendations or conclusions of your research.
You can submit a written report, or alternatively you can submit a powerpoint presentation that we can share with the class during our last week of classes.
