Managing projects is a key responsibility of the operations manager. Your textbook addresses the physical process of managing projects but does not address the change management component. Project management and change management are distinctly different but work 'hand in hand'. Every project has a change component that must be led/ managed. John Kotter is considered the father of change management; he produced this video in March 2011. It is applicable today.
Discuss Kotter's statement that winning hearts and minds is critical to any change process. Why would this be critical to the success of a project?
