Overview
The three key factors in information security are Confidentiality, Integrity, and Availability. An organizational information security system will need to respond to various Threats and Vulnerabilities.
For this discussion question, you are asked to do the following:
- Either from your own experience, from your reading, or from external research, identify one vulnerability within a computer network.
- Describe why this vulnerability may result in compromises to one or more of the following: Confidentiality, Integrity, or Availability
- Propose one method for mitigating this vulnerability
- Respond to at least one other person’s answer, with a discussion of the impact of the vulnerability that they describe, or an idea for addressing their vulnerability
- Respond to at least one person who has posted to your thread with ideas about the vulnerability that you listed.
