1.Describe the bond hybridization process of Ge by electron configurations.
2.Describe the formation of the ionic bond MgO. Plot the electron configurations of the elements and the ions before and after the formation the MgO ionic bond.
3.Calculate the percent ionic character of (a) LiF, (b) MgO, (c) GaAs, and (d) SiGe.
4.Described the transition from the discrete energy levels (such as separated atoms) to the continuous energy bands (such as metals with sea of electrons).
