Overview
Project Overview:
Develop a simulated ArcGIS-based map illustrating the theoretical state of curb utilization in Khobar city, KSA.
- Collect data from APIs related to logistics/delivery or shared mobility services.
Focus on at least two districts, preferably including Al-Khobar Al-Shamaliyah.
- Deliverables:
- Word document (report not less than 20 pages) with proper APA citations (not less than 15 references) and a separate plagiarism check (12-15% similarity, not less than 12% not more than 15%).
- Presentation (minimum 12 slides) summarizing key findings.
- Appendix showing ArcGIS steps with a link to visualized results.
Project Components:
- Abstract, background, and objectives included in the document.
- Literature review with at least two case studies (separate from methodology).
- Methodology explaining data collection and usage procedures.
- Research gap: This term paper aims to fill the knowledge gap regarding the role of GIS in curb management.
Justification: This term paper explores optimizing curb management using ArcGIS through a virtual analysis approach, aiming to simulate and optimize curb spaces without real-world data or direct interactions with authorities.
- Aim & Objective:
- Virtual Curb Demand Mapping with ArcGIS: The objective is to employ ArcGIS to create a simulated map of curb spaces in a selected urban area in Khobar, identifying high-demand areas and traffic congestion zones through data collection and analysis.
- Expected Outcomes (to be submitted as an appendix):
- A simulated ArcGIS-based map illustrating theoretical curb spaces, highlighting areas of hypothetical high demand and underutilization.
- If you're interested, let's discuss further details and timelines.
