Project Guidelines
I. Project Phases & Deliverables:
1. Milestone 1: Problem Identification & LCA
Objective: Identify a sustainability problem in engineering (e.g., energy waste, plastic pollution) and analyze it using Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) (CLOs: A1, A2, B2). Deliverables: o Proposal (2 pages): Problem statement, sustainability pillars affected, preliminary LCA scope. o LCA Report (3 pages): Goal/scope definition, inventory analysis, impact assessment (tables/graphs).
2. Milestone 2: Solution Design & Ethics
Objective: Propose a solution using green engineering principles and evaluate ethical/social impacts (CLOs: B1, B2, C1). Deliverables: o Technical Design (4 pages): Materials, energy efficiency, circular economy alignment. o Ethics Report (1 page): Equity, long-term consequences, SDG alignment
