INSTRUCTIONS
The final design report should include the following sections:
Introduction Concept generation and selection Detailed design (see below) Summary of design analysis, DFX, FMEA Summary of test approach and results
Detailed Design: This section should clearly present the detailed design of the product or system that the team has developed. It should include all details (including dimensions), with appropriate figures and CAD drawings as needed. This section should describe the product or system architecture and include a detailed bill of materials listing the components of the product or system. (Note: this includes all connectors and fasteners.) Software projects should include a list of all packages and libraries that are included.
The final report should have a title page with the authors' names, date, and relevant information. The report should have numbered sections (and subsections as needed) and page numbers. Figures and tables should be numbered and have captions. The report must provide citations for all data and figures from other sources. Grading Reports will be graded on these criteria: 1. Completeness. The report includes all required elements. 2. Concept Generation. This section describes the concepts and the method for selecting one. 3. Detailed design. This section presents the final design clearly and completely. 4. Design analysis. This section summarizes the analysis clearly and discusses design changes. 5. Testing. This section presents the test method and test results and discusses their implications. 6. Clarity and professionalism. The grammar, spelling, organization, and format are correct and professional. The language is professional, not informal. The report cites all sources used.
