Q1) Critically evaluate current definitions and descriptions of the purpose, relationships and vision of Systems Engineering (SE) in modern society (30 Marks)(600 words)>(def of SE and it related to the world)
Your answer should evaluate the sources used in the module pre reading and taught week as appropriate, plus TWO other new published sources that provide an overview or discussion of the discipline.
You are expected as a minimum to summarise ideas from the sources used, discuss similarities and differences between them and synthesis some overall conclusions.

Q2) Discuss the Benefits and Challenges of Systems Thinking as a foundation for the practice of SE in the early stages of a life cycle. (40 Marks)(800 WORDS)
You should consider the stages of the SE Life Cycle associated with problem exploration and discuss how good Systems Thinking provides a foundation for SE.
You may include a discussion of the benefits of system modelling in promoting good System Thinking. You do not need to provide examples of model views, but you may refer to some of the example views used within the module.
Note, you can focus on the theory covered within the taught module in Q2, but you can relate this to your wider reading if you wish>

Q3) Discuss the potential value of SE to UAE Defence of national infrastructure projects. You do not need to go into details of current projects but try to make your discussion relevant to the challenges of a nation like the UAE. We are looking for your opinions, both positive and negative in this part of the answer, based on our introduction to the subject in this first module (30 Marks) (600 words)
