Engineering Question

Overview

Hi,

I would like to clarify my project requirements to ensure everything is completed correctly.

My approved project title is:

Design of Cyclone Separator Integrated with Filtration System for Particle Removal

This is not a Chemical Engineering design project or a process simulation project. The focus is entirely on Project Management.

The project is based on designing and implementing a cyclone separator integrated with a filtration system to improve particle removal from industrial process streams. The report should focus on managing this project from start to finish using standard Project Management practices rather than performing detailed engineering design calculations.

The report should cover the complete project life cycle, including:

• Project Initiation

• Project Planning

• Engineering and Design

• Procurement

• Construction and Installation

• Testing and Commissioning

• Project Handover

• Project Closure

Please prepare the report strictly according to the attached assessment requirements and marking rubric. The lecturer pays close attention to formatting, organization, and small details, not just the content. Everything should be complete, professional, and well presented.

The report should include all required sections in both Part A (Project Charter) and Part B (Project Management Plans), including but not limited to:

• Brief definitions/introductions where required by the rubric

• Executive Summary

• Project Objectives and Measures of Success

• Stakeholder Register

• Preliminary Scope Statement (In Scope and Out of Scope)

• Project Budget

• Project Resources and Approval

• Work Breakdown Structure (WBS)

• Activity Cost Estimates

• Cost Baseline

• Quality Management (Test Case Form)

• Resource Breakdown Structure (RBS)

• RACI Matrix

• Communication Matrix

• Risk Breakdown Structure (RBS)

• Risk Register (including ID, Description, Category, Root Cause, Trigger, Probability, Impact, EMV, Risk Response, Contingency Plan, and Risk Owner)

• Procurement Statement of Work

• Source Selection Criteria

• References

• Appendices (if required)

The Microsoft Project file should also be completed and include:

• Project information and calendar

• Project phases (main tasks)

• Activities (subtasks)

• Realistic task durations

• Task dependencies (FS, SS, and FF where appropriate)

• Resources assigned to activities

• Gantt Chart with all required fields

• Network Diagram

• Resource Sheet

• Critical Path

• Total Slack

• Task Notes

• Resource Initials

Please make sure all sections are connected logically and based on the same project scenario. The schedule, budget, resources, procurement, risks, quality documents, and all other project management documents should be fully consistent with each other.

The report should have professional formatting with clear headings, numbering, tables, and a consistent layout. I want the final work to fully satisfy every requirement in the assessment rubric and be prepared to achieve the highest possible grade.

Please do not skip any section, table, or requirement mentioned in the attached assessment and marking rubric.

Please find the attached assessment requirements and marking rubric. Thank you.
