Can you help me understand this Environmental Science question?
1. We discussed electrophoresis as an example of partitioning or separating a mixture of compounds. For an electrophoresis application, what is the mobile phase, and what is the stationary phase?
2. Both GC columns and compounds can be polarized and non-polarized. For analyzing a mixture of polarized compounds, do we need to use polarized column or a non-polarized column? Please explain why.
