Overview
The purpose of this exercise is deepen understanding of strategies to manage the impacts of climate disruption -- and do so in an equitable and socially just way. An important aspect of resilience is community, so you will to develop skills in selecting appropriate and equitable resilience strategies.
You will choose a city and three main impacts/resilience strategies for that city. Using the bullet list below as your guide, you will discuss, coordinate, research, and contribute your part to your city resilience report. (See the examples below for ideas; however, keep in mind that your exercise is a shorter version of the examples.) You will build resilience recommendations for a city.
Suggested for organization of the report:
City characteristics (e.g. demographics, geographical & environmental features, culture, economy) and priorities (i.e., what are the big social/economic/environmental issues)
Climate impacts and risks, focusing on the three your team has chosen
