Overview
You are required to choose a substantial news article about an important current event in Canadian environmental law and prepare an analysis of approximately 1,000 words. The analysis should summarize the material facts, including the environmental issues at stake, and explain the legal issues in dispute and why the event is important from a public policy point of view. Your assignment should be word-processed, double-spaced and in 12-point type. I will use the following criteria and weights to mark the assignment: understanding of the subject matter — 40%; cogency of argumentation — 40%; logic of organization and structure — 10%; and spelling, punctuation, and syntax — 10%.
