Overview
The assignment will contain 5 main parts:
1. Title (1 point): something to engage the reader, not just "Position paper proposal"
2. Why is this topic relevant? (5 points): Provide some background on your topic. Why is it important? What impacts does it have?
3. What is your objective/thesis? What side of the argument will you be on? (2 points): clearly state what you'll be looking at and which side you'll be arguing for in your paper.
4. Why did you pick this topic? Why does it interest you personally? (5 points): Is it something that you have a keen interest in? Does it impact you directly?
5. List of 5 possible references (2 points): these can be scholarly references you have cited in your proposal, but do not need to be. Please choose references that are not required reading for the course.
