Overview
Genetically Modified Organisms
- Identify three food items in your refrigerator or pantry that contain GMOs. Share in your post the name of each food item, the ingredient(s) in each food item that is/are GMO, and whether each food item clearly labels the presence of GMO ingredients on its packaging.
- Create a list of pros and cons for the use of GMOs in agriculture. Include at least two pros and two cons in your list and provide your sources with a link.
- Discuss why you think labeling laws for GMO foods exist in other nations, but are not present in the United States.
Post an initial response and at least two reply posts after reading your peers’ responses. Reply posts should evaluate the provided sources from your peers’ GMO pros and cons lists. Identify any sources that you suspect may have bias, and explain why.
