GEA #1 Assignment: Discussion of Service Learning (SL) assignments
Please write an essay (paragraphs and complete sentences!) reflecting on your service learning project. Do NOT include the prompts in your final submission, double-spaced, 12 font, and 500 words minimum.
Please include the following in your page:
1. Reflect on all the SL assignments i.e., SL1 Calculating your footprint, and action plan, discussion with students. Please use information from SL1-3. Discuss items that you learned and your general thoughts. What was intriguing?
2. Do you plan to make changes in the future? Why or why not? If so, how? Will you change your ways or add another way to avert CO2 to your lifestyle? Why or why not?
3. Explain how your action plan (aversion of CO2) helped the oceans ecosystems. Hint: How is increased CO2 concentrations affecting the ocean (list two ways CO2 are a detriment to the ocean)? Give a specific example of the detriment/consequence. Please research on your own or see the websites/paper below. See Table 2 in the PDF ( Brierley and Kingsford 2009) that lists ecosystem, threat, and consequence.
