Overview
Assignment 5 will require you to write a three to four-page essay on the topic of using wastewater as a drinking water source. This topic of course addresses wastewater and drinking water treatment. Before you attempt this essay, make sure you watch the video titled “Taking the Waste out of Wastewater” posted in the video folder under the drinking water section. Remember, you must address your opinion on the issue of reclaimed water as a source of drinking water.Please address the following in your essay:
In your own words, explain water reclamation and how is it related to wastewater and drinking water.
- Why should we consider using wastewater as a source of drinking water? Discuss why we should use wastewater as a drinking water source.
What are the objections against using wastewater as a drinking water source?
- Discuss the basic perceptions that may limit using wastewater as a source of drinking water.
- Discuss your opinion on using wastewater as a source of drinking water, if it is treated to drinking water standards, of course.
- Why are you for or against using wastewater as a source of drinking water?
- Finally, summarize your opinion.
