QUESTION 1. In Chapter 7 of Environmental Science and Theology in Dialogue, beginning on page 122, the authors conclude that “the environmental crisis . . . must be considered a major revelatory event in our time and space.” And on page 123 they state that the “environmental crisis . . . has challenged theology to reconfigure its understanding of God and God’s action in the world.” From Chapter 8, select one of the “Ecological Models of God: God in Process,” pp. 148-162, and explain how that particular model is a reconfiguration of how one understands God and God’s action in the world and how that model is different from a model that stresses the transcendence of God.
