Post ID: 3029936
Overview
- Compose your response in a Word document. You'll submit in two ways - see submission instructions below for details.
- Provide a summary of three solutions (2.5 points each) you find most useful from one or all of these these sites, or from sites you find on your own.
- Also include one crazy creative solution of your own (2.5 pts)!
- Make sure each solution has a title and a paragraph written in your own words. First person may be easiest, e.g.: "I found an article in ________. The ideas that I found to be most interesting were ________" Then provide a title and paragraph explaining each idea separately.
- Here are some options for you to choose from - to listen to, watch, or read and summarize the most salient points to share with others in the class. It would be great if you also search for your own resources outlining solutions.Make the creative one about oceanic algae farms
- large-scale floating platforms equipped with bioreactors that cultivate and harness the growth of specific strains of marine algae. These Oceanic Algae Bio-Floats would be strategically placed in nutrient-rich areas of the ocean. Algae are highly effective at absorbing carbon dioxide and could serve as a natural carbon sink. The harvested algae could be used for various sustainable applications, such as biofuels or even as a nutritious food source.
