Weather & Climate: Location Primer
Using the location you chose for your project, describe/define the following:
Climate: include the Koppen-Geiger classification with the description; annual mean temperature & mean monthly temperature range
Topography: describe the elevation of your location and any pertinent geology features (mountains, plains, ocean, etc.)
Land-use: locate a generalized zoning or how the land is used in your location
- Precipitation Changes: general precipitation trend, changes over the century, impacts of precipitation (flooding, pollution, etc.)
- IPCC Future Projections: global warming, sea level rise, weather events, etc.
- Energy Sources: where power comes from (gas, hydroelectric, etc.)
- Population: population this year, population density
- The above may be in notation fashion. Include the bullets and category, then informal notes for each. Be sure to include references at the end of the assignment.
