you are required to choose a research article (preferably) or a review article. In a few slides , you will present the paper’s topic through a short introduction. Then, you must address the following points:
- Critical Analysis – Evaluate the selected research by identifying its strengths, weaknesses, biases, and knowledge gaps. Base your analysis on our lectures related to stock assessment, best practices for fisheries management, and the models used in the paper (including their advantages and limitations).
- Application of Concepts – Assess how the stock assessment methodology adopted by the authors applies to real-world scenarios. Is it feasible and practical? Are there any limitations that affect its implementation?
- Problem-Solving – Identify key challenges in fisheries management and propose evidence-based solutions. Based on your understanding of the paper, suggest more efficient approaches that could improve stock assessment.
