Select a population from the following list:
Birth to 5 years
Childhood
Adolescent
Young Adult
Adult
Older adult
Research the age range you selected. Create a brief summary of your findings (outline, brief video, concept map, drawing, etc) and submit it. Make sure to include:
- Which age range you are researching
- At least two considerations for assessment for that age range (i.e. what should you be looking for when you assess? These can be physical, social, psychological, etc.).
- An evidence-based health promotion strategy specific to the age range you selected. This may relate to one of the assessment considerations you identified, but does not have to. Make sure to cite and reference your source(s).
- Correctly formatted APA citations and references. If you're not using written format, refer to your APA manual or ask me how to cite correctly.
This doesn't need to be fancy, just make sure you include the required elements. See below for examples.
Remember, correct use of APA requires putting citations in text and listing them on a references page. Refer to your APA manual for how to cite your sources, especially if you're recording your summary. Bonus - the work you do now is the foundation for your Teaching Plan.
