EVR1001 Discussion: El Nino/La Nina

Overview

El Niño/La Niña

Perhaps you have heard about El Niño Southern Oscillation (ENSO) events. Have you ever heard of La Niña events? Over the past several years the United States has experienced several La Niña events and one El Niño event of recent.

For this discussion forum, address the questions below. I am including a link to the NOAA (National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration) web page here, https://oceanservice.noaa.gov/facts/ninonina.htmlLinks to an external site. which explains a bit about El Niño and La Niña and its effects across the United States. Also, use your textbook and any other sources of valid information you wish to help you answer the questions.

As with researching any answers for any class, if you directly quote a course, you need to list the source cited. If you are closely paraphrasing the text of the source as well, you should provide your source, otherwise, that is plagiarism. Additionally, do your own work in answering the questions. Do not directly use ChatGPT/AI to answer/write the forum for you. All college rules of Academic Dishonesty are fully in effect.
