Overview
In this documentary film, I plan on shooting a kid in high school who is not really social, he has family problems but happens to be a genius. I want the fact that the main character has some issues, but has a way to make his future life become successful. Also I want the audience to be aware of the talents he has. I plan on including this characters' talents in every way. In this film, his parents will be shown, some high school bullies, teachers and his one close friend who has his back and tries to keep him going. This film will take place in his home, at school, walking home from school (streets), and more. This topic interests me because for anyone out there struggling, I would hope this can help to get them to overcome their struggles and strive for success. I am also interested in this topic because I want to get the audience to understand not to give up. The main character will be talented in ways like he is very intelligent in school, great with computers, knows a lot about the stock market, good with work involving his hands and other creative ideas. This film will include some bullying, the character going through some struggles, overcoming his struggles and also his talents will be noticeable. I want the audience to get even though people will come across struggles in life, they're still ways to succeed still.
In this experimental film, I will be previewing two students from different schools visiting their other friend who attends college at Florida Atlantic University (FAU). The game plan that is set up is the three friends are going to drive to Boca. The first friend visiting attends The University of Arizona and the second friend studies at Binghamton University. One friend visiting is funny and loud while the other friend is a bit quiet. In this film, I will be sure to show the audience what occurs during this adventurous weekend. This trip they have planned is supposed to be a weekend long and three friends reuniting for the first time in a while. They planned this trip for a reason. They planned on going to Boca which they all used to vacation at when they were younger. They have plenty of excitement to see each other for the weekend since it has been a while. This topic interests me because it has a connection for me since my friend and I Freshman year of college visited my friend in Michigan that we have not seen since High School. As well, it is also important for me to keep in contact with my friends back home. I also used to go on vacation with my family and my friends' family in Boca. This film will include three friends going out to eat, playing sports, watching movies, driving in the car, even walking the streets, going to the beach/pool and having fun throughout the weekend For this film, I want the audience to of course get a some laughter out of it but realize friendship is and should always be important.
In this narrative film, I plan on showing to the audience a highschool athlete who has a secret. He hides from his friends, family, school workers and more which is his sexuality. He has been hiding it for a while, scared to tell everyone who is important to him and does not know how to tell them. His friends, his parents and people he sees throughout the day will be in the film. He is very nervous to tell his Dad because he does not know how he will react. This topic interests me because I watched the documentary on the famous NFL player Aaron Hernanadez which supposedly hid his sexuality from many people since highschool. I want this character to be very into and talented into basketball. I want in the film it to be noticeable that his main thoughts are about basketball and succeeding but he is also distracted about the fact he is hiding his sexuality. I want this film to have a feeling of happiness but also a bit of tense. At the end I plan on his secret being cleared up and him being happy. This film will include sports, deep conversations and more. I want the audience to realize it is possible to be happy when your hidden secrets are out and you can succeed onto your other plans.
