Overview
Please start a discussion comparing Singin' In The Rain with ONE musical number from a musical of your choice and analyze it by noting a connection to the styles of Berkeley, Astaire, Kelly, or Fosse. Often, as in the case of Moulin Rouge! you will see style elements from all four in one film.
In your post, you will want to post a link to the clip in question whenever possible as it adds everything to those of us who have not seen your movie of choice. Remember that you will want to include examples from Singin' in the Rain in your original post. Also remember that you cannot repeat movies - points will be taken off - and to make sure that each of your posts have something legitimate to say!
Finally do NOT reference another Kelly/Berkeley/Fosse/Astaire film as your comparison movie but choose one with a different director and cast.
Remember that you are being asked to find a relatively modern musical and to identify the influences of Berkeley, Astaire, Kelly, and Fosse - I guarantee you will indeed find these influences all over your chosen pictures.
