Theatre Company Presentation
- Select a theatre company, who manage their own venue, anywhere in Canada (except BC).
- Using a minimum of 3 sources, of which one cannot be Wikipedia, research the theatre company. Cite the sources you have used at the end of your PowerPoint.
- Make a 5-7 (revised from 7-10) minute PowerPoint video presentation on what you have researched.
- This is not meant to be an exploration of the artistic merits of the company, rather a discovery of the company’s origins, its internal structure, and how it operates from a behind the scenes point of view.
- Some things to consider: What is company’s mandate and their theatre season comprised of, provide a brief history of the origins of the company and the creation of the venue, what does their organizational chart look like, who do they engage and what kind of contracts do they use, provide a tour of the lobby, stage &/or backstage areas, provide some insight into how their shops work and their creative practices.
