Overview
This essay is going to be based off of a play names "A Dolls House" By Henrik Ibsen. For this you will Write a thesis-driven essay of at least 1000-1500 words on the work. You may focus on one or more of the characters, the setting (time and place), the use of symbolism, or a theme.
What I am looking for:
- An introduction which helps the reader understand the work that you are planning to discuss. Remember to include the title of the work and the author's name in the introduction. The introduction should end with your thesis statement.
- Specific points from the play that support your argument. Demonstrate that you have read and analyzed the work.
- At least three direct quotes from the play (the script). Provide context for the quotes, integrate the quotes, and explain the quotes.
- At least one direct quote from a work of literary criticism about the play.
- In-text citations and a works cited list. Papers submitted without documentation will not be accepted.
- MLA-style formatting.
- Proper grammar, spelling, capitalization, and punctuation.
