Discussion: My TV Board
In this discussion board, you will be filming and posting a "TV commercial." Your commercial should be between 30 seconds and 1 minutes.
Similar to your Module 3 discussion board, you will use your video camera on your smartphone or other device.
For your commercial, choose an existing product in your home that you feel makes a positive impact on society. It can be however large or small the impact is, just as long as you can promote its positive societal impact.
For example, say you decide to film a commercial selling a water filter, you will mention its positive impact on health by providing clean water. Or, say you decide to film a commercial selling a set of encyclopedias, you can mention how it helps grow knowledge about major historical events.
You will want to write out your script to have handy, because you will be narrating the commercial. (You do not need to post your script to the discussion board.) Feel free to engage friends, if you like, in your project. You may film outdoors or indoors. You may film your commercial in one complete sweep or you may edit your commercial, breaking it into clips.
When you upload your video file or paste your video link, write one paragraph describing your experience filming this commercial. What was challenging? What was fun? What went wrong? What went right?
